About the event

The 27th annual William Byrd Festival, presented by Cantores in Ecclesia, celebrated four towering figures of the Renaissance: William Byrd, Orlando di Lasso, Giovanni da Palestrina, and Tomás Luis de Victoria. The festival featured Compline, chamber concerts by the Byrd Festival Consort, Byrd's Masses for Four and Five Voices, a Mass for the Assumption with music from Byrd's Gradualia, Choral Evensong with Byrd's Great Service, and a final concert, "Sound the Trumpet: Music for the Church Year."
